Overview

ARender 2023.9.0 is a minor release that focuses on improving PDF rendering reliability (especially with PDFOwl), hyperlink usability, and annotation compatibility. This version also addresses multiple bug fixes and CVE resolutions, reinforcing ARender’s stability and security in production.

Starting from this version, we also provide an upgrade note to guide our users through the update process.

This version requires the following software versions as prerequisites:

📎 Improved Annotation Compatibility

• Older annotations created by copy-pasting sticky notes now correctly appear in PDFs downloaded with FDF annotations. (AR-17017)

🧭 Smarter Hyperlink Interaction

• Clicking a hyperlink now directly opens its target without showing the edit menu.

• Hovering over a hyperlink reveals a contextual menu with "Edit Style" and "Open Hyperlink Explorer" options.

• Improved consistency and navigation with hyperlink interactions. (AR-17444)

• PDFOwl rendering now works reliably on Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 environments. (AR-17220)
