ARender 3.1.2-1 release notes

The ARender team is proud to present the release notes for version 3.1.2-1, bringing some patches for ARender version 3.1.2.

This list of corrected bugs is to describe the vast majority of the novelties that have a direct impact on the use of ARender. A detailed list containing all bugfixes is available at: Changelog

Bug fixes

‣ Major bugfix

Arrow annotations can be created again under Internet Explorer 8. The distance measuring feature is inheritly incompatible with this web browser.

‣ Minor bugfix

Under FileNet, sticky notes were staying closed in ARender 3.1.2. This is due to the fact that they now save in XFDF their status (opened, closed). FileNet environments now handles this too.

Warning: to better match the XFDF standard and reduce visual overload, text annotations will be collapsed by default when annotations are loaded (new ones will always be created opened). You can open the old ones and save this parameter. A recovery of the old annotations is possible, on demand.

‣ Minor bugfix

While opening big documents, web browsers were limiting the maximum number of pages ARender could open. This has been corrected in 3.1.2 and has been improved with various bugfixes in 3.1.2-1.

‣ Minor bugfix

ARender now supports better importing large quantities of annotations. (up to 5000 on a single few pages document) This is aimed to be improved furthermore in the next releases.
